Sixth Form Fundraising 2015-2016

The Sixth Form Head Boy (Alexander Nel), Head Girl (Maisie Woodford), Deputy Head Boy (Adnan Al Shadid), Deputy Head Girl (Angelica Day), and Prefect Team, spearheaded fundraising activities in aid of the Emirates Red Crescent, over the course of this academic year. Hosting “Girls Night In Fundraiser”, Bake Sales and a Charity Football Afternoon were the highly successful events this group of students coordinated. The total funds raised by the Sixth Form students for the Emirates Red Crescent was 6500 AED and this is a fantastic achievement. This money will be used by the Emirates Red Crescent to support orphans in the local Al Ain Community.

About the author

The Al Ain English Speaking School is a privately owned ‘not for profit’ school. It was set up by seven local and international companies in 1978. The rationale was to provide an appropriate standard of education for the children of expatriate employers, to ensure that they would not be socially or academically disadvantaged when they returned to their home countries. We are located on the border between the United Arab Emirates and Oman in the scenic UNESCO world heritage site in the oasis city of Al Ain.
